Over the last couple of years the local community have transformed a part of Rhodes Reserve by the Halswell River in Tai Tapu. Known locally as Tai Tapu Bush, WET helped out with the initial planting plans for the site and with organising some of the early volunteer plantings. Many others have also pitched in, including Tai Tapu school. The area is now a fantastic resource and an outdoor classroom – have a look at this short clip featured recently on CTV.

An official opening and celebration will be held on Sunday September 28.
