Are you keen to get out and increase native biodiversity on the Canterbury Plains? If so the 2017 Canterbury Plantout, led by Te Ara Kakariki, is coming up on the 2nd and 16th of September registrations are now open. Go along to the TAK website for more information and to register.

This is a great day out and a chance to plant at different sites in the catchment. Transport, food and expert knowledge are all provided. Registration is essential and number are limited so get in quick!

Also keep the 15th of September free for the 2017 Green Footprint planting. This is a partnership between WET, SDC and they YHA. Generally the planting happens at either Coes or Chamberlains Ford but there has been a lot of damage done to previous plants through the August flooding. The planting site will be confirmed shortly.
