Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere – Expressions of the Living Lake
At its Living Lake Symposium at Lincoln University in November 2013, WET will hold an art exhibition on themes that convey the stories of people’s connection to Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere, and reflect the diversity of values held for the lake and its catchment.
Prizes will be awarded for artworks that best capture our theme. Selected works will be shown at the Symposium, providing a chance to exhibit ‘art that makes a difference’ to environmental decision makers for the lake and the catchment which impacts upon it. A public viewing session will also be held.
Open to people of all ages, the exhibition will comprise four sections:
- painting/drawing
- photography
- sculpture
- short video (open section & separate school age section)
We’ll be uploading conditions of entry and an entry form on the website soon. Meanwhile, we invite you to register your interest by emailing us.
