The Waihora Ellesmere Trust invites you to their 2018 Annual General Meeting.

The AGM formalities will start at 6.30 pm followed by refreshments at 7.00 pm and then our guest speaker at 7.30 pm.
The Waihora Ellesmere Trust is pleased to have Esme Robinson as a guest speaker. Esme is a Scientist at Plant and Food Research within the seafood portfolio. She will be talking about research being done on the effect of temperature on Flounder in Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere.
Flounder are one of the most abundant fish groups in Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere. Their survival, growth and reproduction in the lake is strongly influenced by lake temperature. A joint project by Plant & Food Research and the University of Canterbury is currently researching the ideal temperature conditions for these fish, and how current as well as future lake conditions may impact their presence there.
