Lakeside Domain Restoration Community Planting Day
Sunday 23rd September
10am start start – – 2pm
The planting day has been organised by “Te Waihora Warriers”, an environment group of Ellesmere College students, with help from the Lakeside Reserve Committee, Selwyn District Council and funded by Kids Restore New Zealand. The Sustainable Drain Management project is also very pleased to be able support this project with some combiguards to protect the plants as they get established.
This is the start of three years of restoration planting on the reserve, aimed at involving the community and Ellesmere College in restoring Te Waihora lake margin.
Please bring a spade, warm clothes, lunch or picnic and a drink to keep your energy up. All kids and kids at heart welcome!
