The 2022 Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere Living Lake Symposium

Waihora Clay Target Club, Gammacks Road canal end of Ridge Road

This is a public symposium – all welcome

Comprising a Field Trip (via Bus from Target Club):

Visit Kaitorete to discuss the Tāwhaki project and the aerospace potential of Kaitorete as well as pest control projects (Pest Free Banks Peninsula).  Visit the Ahuriri wetland to discuss the linkages between these restoration projects and bicycle trails that enable access to these projects.

Presentations:

A series of presentations giving updates on ecological restoration projects in the Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere catchment, from Environment Canterbury, Selwyn District Council, Department of Conservation, Ellesmere Sustainable Agriculture and Pest Free Banks Peninsula.

Due to limited capacity on the bus we are limited to 52 bus passengers.
