Environment Canterbury has formally received and accepted the Selwyn Waihora Zone Implementation Programme (ZIP) Addendum, relating to Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere, at a Council Meeting on Thursday September 5.

This will form the basis of the Selwyn Waihora Sub-regional section of the proposed Land & Water Regional Plan and for the design and realignment of council work programme

This package of solutions has been developed and agreed by the zone committee following three years of consultation. The formation of sector focus groups, and a series of focus groups meetings held throughout 2012 were a significant part of the process.
