Our first Living Lake Symposium was held in 2007. That provided valuable information for the subsequent resource consent to open the Lake and for the revision of the Water Conservation Order for the Lake. The resource consent will need to be replace by a new consent by 2030.
Planning is underway for LLS2027 where we will review the lessons learnt and assess the current state of the lake to facilitate informed participation in the upcoming resource consent processes and any new plan-making pending the outcome of current central government reforms of planning and local government.
